Crumiller P.C. is a law firm, based in Brooklyn, NY (the “Firm,” “us,” “we,” or “our”).  We understand that when you interact with us you may entrust us with your personal information when you interact with us through our website, (the “Site”), email, social media, etc.

What We Collect From You (Personal Data)

When you reach out to us with regard to a potential matter, you will be asked for your name, phone number, and email address; and may be asked for your mailing address. Personal Data collected is maintained in restricted-access software strictly for use in:

  • evaluating whether to engage you as a client, and confirm whether a conflict of interest exists between any Current, Former, or Potential Clients;
  • maintaining accurate contact information while providing you with legal services, if you are a Crumiller client;
  • responding to inquiries from you;
  • and communicating with you regarding our services, Firm news, events, or publications that may interest you.
Automatically Collected Information (Browsing Data)

Third-party tracking software systems, such as Google Analytics and Meta Pixel, may automatically collect information about you or your activities to help us analyze how viewers find and use our Site, provide insight to improve the Site’s user experience and inform online advertising campaigns. Data these systems collect includes:

  • the date, time, and duration of a visit;
  • the IP address, operating system, and web browser of the device used for access;
  • browsing patterns associated with the device/user, including the address of the website from which the user clicked through to us; and
  • how a user interacts with, and moves through, our Site.

We may also use “cookies” to track your use of our site.  Most web browsers have built-in options to disable or reject cookies. If you choose to disable cookies, it may impact certain Site functions during your visit(s) – for example, you may be unable to snooze a pop-up if one is active on the site.

Disclosure of Your Personal Data

Crumiller utilizes third-party service providers or platforms (i) to communicate with you, others, or our clients; (ii) to collect information submitted through the Site; (iii) in relation to data processing and storage services provided to the Firm; and (iv) in relation to other professional services we may obtain, such as legal, accounting, payment processing, or information security services. These third-party services and platforms may process, or organize, such Personal Data on our behalf.

Our Site may contain links to other websites such as social media platforms, job seeker applicant platforms, and other informational and new sites.  If you click on any of these links, note that we do not have any control over these third-party websites and are not responsible for their privacy practices or content.  Use caution when visiting other sites and review the privacy policy of the website in question.


Crumiller makes reasonable efforts to protect the confidentiality, integrity, availability, and security of Personal Data that we receive.  These efforts include technical and organizational measures, as well as administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. However, because information transferred over the Internet is not absolutely secure, we cannot guarantee the security of your information.

If You Are Located Outside of the United States

We operate solely in the United States.  If you are located outside of the United States, please be aware that your Personal Data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where applicable data protection laws may not be the same as those in the country where you are located.  By using our Site, you consent to data concerning your use of the Site being transferred to our systems those of third parties services whom we utilize as described in this Privacy Policy.

Your Choices

If you decide, after providing your email, that you no longer wish to receive the firm’s occasional newsletter, please unsubscribe via the link in the email footer. If you wish to review or correct any Personal Data that we may have, please contact us in writing, as outlined in “Contact Us.” If we agree to or are required to delete your Personal Data, we will retain certain Personal Data in order to maintain compliance with your request.  If any of your Personal Data exists in a system backup that is later utilized, we will make reasonable efforts to locate and delete applicable Personal Data.

Updates to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Your continued use of the Site or submission of Personal Data to us after we change this Privacy Policy signifies your consent to these updates.  We encourage you to re-review this Privacy Policy periodically.
