Antique Bundi Jade and Silver Chess Set

Unique and extraordinary royal set made of Indian jade with silver applications and balls on top from the former kingdom of Bundi (Rajasthan). The kings have inscriptions: Hindu king with gold plated silver balls on top. Inscription in devanagari script: Maharao Shri Jaimalji, Samvat (SV) 1920 = 1864 A.D; 8 cm. Moslem king silver balls on top only with Urdu inscription in Arabic script. The textile board is original to the set.
