Victorian Barleycorn set

Designated by some experts as a Barleycorn, this set does not have the barleycorn leaves on the Kings' and Queens' stems. Hence some experts refer to this style as "Ropetwist".

This barleycorn/ropetwist set came in a box with a silver plaque reading: "PRESENTED TO Samuel Morton Esquire by the members of the WEDNESDAYS BOWLING CLUB held at Lenton 1837".
