I got a new computer recently and I was looking for a cool image as a background for my desktop. Well, I stumbled across this site, and I’ve spent the last hour gazing in awe at their amazing images. These are amazing.

Ok, I could keep going forever. Many of these use a technique called HDR (high dynamic range) imaging, which allows you to try to represent the greater range of intensity levels that you might see all the way from dawn to dusk.
