The woman will come to us , walking down a dark country road, and her family will say she died 50 years ago.

And that will be the legend of Evvie’s birth.

For my birthday I was going to go watch Alberto Gonzalez get taken down a notch by the Senate Judiciary Committee, but now they’ve rescheduled the hearing for Thursday and I won’t be able to go.

Besides that I’m just going out to dinner or something.

Happy Birthday Evvie! I still occasionally tell the story of taking newborn Evan from the birthing center over to Dr. Schneider for evaluation. In the parking lot of Familyborn, I noticed a woman who had locked her keys in her car, so I gave her a quick ride home with 45-minute-old Evan in his carseat. The woman was amazed or flabbergasted, but in either case, she was appreciative too. Then Evan and I headed over to Dr. Schneider’s.
