Could someone elaborate on poll response? by jenny on April 30, 2007 at 8:59 am
Since I’m obviously interested in this stuff, I’d like to know more about the answer “Certain programs and files, yes. However, other programs and files, perhaps not.”
I’m guessing you don’t want to delete programs that are unused but are such that it is risky to remove them? Do you edit your registry? Are there certain programs you don’t want to delete even though they’re never used? For instance, my computer came with “Front Page,” which I never use, but I was advised not to remove it. Why?

A: Approximately milepost 499.
Q: And where is milepost 499?

help me write my column by suzys on April 15, 2007 at 5:35 pm
In return I will buy everyone sushi at the family reunion. I know where I can get it cheap.
I want to write about my Partisan Poker game: for the presidential campaign points are added and subtracted for things the candidates do. I got this idea (well, Jenny did, mostly) from Evan’s description of what some other students (not him) played during the State of the Union speech. The game involved taking a shot when the president said certain phrases. Evan, what were they again? I know you were just observing.
It’s a really funny idea except I don’t have any ideas.

Violin Virtuoso Plays Unnoticed in Subway Station by Jon on April 9, 2007 at 10:15 am
Here is a fascinating story with an equally fascinating video.
A man dressed in jeans and a baseball cap, playing his violin in a subway station, with a hat for the occasional tip. People pass by, largely ignoring him. An everyday event. But the violin player was Joshua Bell, an internationally acclaimed virtuoso; the instrument was a famous 18th-century violin; and the music he played were six concert-level classical pieces.
The video shows that 1,097 people passed by during the 45-minute experiment. Bell’s hat collected a grand total of $32.17.

Mom and the Skunk by suzys on April 1, 2007 at 6:34 am
Mom, (Gramma, Darlyne) and Buzz were going out to get the paper early this morning and apparently did not see the skunk sniffing around the garage. However the skunk saw her. I’m not sure how she’s going to be able to fly home now.
