Children of Men was AMAZING. One of the most intense movies I’ve ever seen. Very highly recommended.
I also loved Volver, but it was more of just a fun watch than really thought-provoking.
Anyone else seen any good movies lately?

I really liked Children of Men, and i loved the Good Shepherd.
p.s. I have internet now
I saw Pan’s labyrinth the other day and it was amazing. It’s half fairy-tale half drama, but there’s no awkward shift from one to the other. It’s definitely not a kid’s movie though, and not for the squeamish–there’s a few pretty unnerving scenes. The bad guy is really the biggest @$$-hole I’ve seen in a movie.
I saw Notes On A Scandal and it also was a very intense movie. Judy Dench played a b…bad woman which was an unusual role for her but she was very very good. The movie left me feeling the way I felt after seeing Who’s Afraid Of Virginis Wolfe, it was a great movie but I wouldn’t want to see it again.
Mom (Gramma) and I saw The Good Shepherd. Although it made me feel ignorant about the Cuban Missile Crisis I thought the movie was really well done; especially for such a long, complicated story. Lately I have given extra points to any movie that attempts something original.
