Susan and I are leaving for Seattle on Thursday. We’ll bring a bunch of Marshall’s stuff and sight-see on Thursday. Marshall is then coming on Friday on flight paid for by Amazon. We’ll pick him and more of his stuff up and take him to his summer abode provided by Amazon. Jon and Evvie are staying home to take care of Tedder.
Randy got the internship with NASA which wasn’t easy. There was a lot of competition. The same with Marshall’s internship with Amazon.com. Congratulations to both!
He’s going to Seattle for the summer and will have to leave shortly after he gets home next week. We don’t know if he’s taking his car or flying and not having a car. They pay for travel expenses and also for part of housing for the summer. They’re sending stuff about housing. The woman told him that it’s best to take a bus to work, so I suspect it’s difficult to keep a car there.
Below: Doug talks to Lt. Governor, Tim Kaine, at the kickoff of Tim Kaine’s gubernatorial campaign on March 16th. Julie looks on, the proud mom. That day Doug got the autographs of the governor, Mark Warner; the lieutenant governor, Tim Kaine; and former governor Linwood Holton.

Marshall finished up all his work for the year, he informed me last night. I think he’s finished all his graduation requirements. It looks like he’s not going to flunk out, and it looks like Susan’s not going to flunk out of law school. Evvie is most likely going t0 graduate from High School, but he has to be careful about being late and absences.
But successes outweigh fears!! yay kids!
I think Mothers Day is stupid, and Mom I know you don’t care about it, but I felt like I should just say it anyway.
Also, who is coming to move me out, and would that person want to go out for dinner or something?
Right now I’m in the middle of a 48-hr take-home exam, but it’s very relaxed and I’m enjoying it. I might even be able to take a break to go to Arastu’s to watch Desperate Housewives. Then I have one last project due on Wednesday and I am DONE!!!! (2/3)

Here’s me at the filibuster (Jon got a screenshot — it’s not really live)
They were on Hardball, a TV show — here’s a video Here’s the webcam.
Our trip for Marshall’s graduation approaches! Dad, Gramma, Susan, Evvie and I will leave in my car on Friday, May 13 late morning or whenever we can all leave. Marshall is in charge of making plans for the weekend. Graduation is on Sunday, so we might do neat things around Rochester on Saturday, or maybe we could go see Niagra Falls. We’ll be coming home Sunday night with Marshall’s stuff in our car.
He’s not really graduating, since he’s going for another year, but since he’s completed the requirements to graduate he’s walking with his class. Is that right Marsh? Will you be in a special section or anything?
